about MikWright
In 1992, tim and phyllis met one another while working opposite airline ticket counters. The friendship immediately formed and soon after, MikWright was born. With the help of family and friend’s photos, MikWright created a ruckus in the greeting card industry with its trademark “photo-applied” vintage humor. Many years later, customers still guffaw in the card aisles over their off-kilter brand of humor.
Tim mikkelsen is a transplanted minnesotan living in charlotte, nc. After years in the hospitality and airline industries, tim now writes, travels and cares for his three second-hand cats. Tim likes a dry, vodka martini; up with olives.
In tim’s high school yearbook it reads “who will entertain the people when he’s gone.”
Phyllis wright-herman, also a retired airline customer service representative, is the office barista and the vibrance behind MikWright.
Born an "air force brat," phyllis spent her early years in italy and various US locations. Phyllis’ television break through came in a CNN segment where hogs were loose in their village and, you guessed it, they interviewed phyllis.
Phyllis likes a Sapphire martini with a twist.
